Will it fit?

So my friend is gettin himself a rig but he is a bit lacking on money so he want's to use his old GPU on this new motherboard. He have Nvidia GT220 and he want's to put it on Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0 Mobo, but he is worried if it will fit.. not really fit i know it will but will it break something or burn because that's an old GPU.

His pc spec:

  AMD FX-8350

  Asus M5A99X EVO R2.0

  8GB ram

Some PSU (i dont know it's name)

I can't imagine why it wouldn't fit, but that's a huuuuge bottleneck, getting an 8350 to go with that old an GPU is just not smart to do.

He knows that but he need to first collect money to get new GPU because he want some best one, and he will be playing like Minecraft till then

Google says their are AGP versions of that card, if it is AGP it will not work in any modern board.if he has the PCI express version (more likley) he is fine

You know maybe how he can check wich version he has ?

Ahh nevermind it's PCI

Gpu-z avalible from: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/SysInfo/GPU-Z/

there will be a section called bus interface if it says PCI or PCI express he is golden.

PCI-E 1.1 x16 @ x16 1.1 that's what it says
