Will I fry my motherboard

Hello I am trying to put a matx mobo into a itx case, I have everything measuerd out to mod but using the longest standoffs I have the pins under the 24pin power connector are touching a raised part of the backplate in the case. I was wondering if it would fry my motherboard.

If the back of the motherboard is touching the case, yes, it can short it out.

If there is nothing you can do to raise the motherboard higher off the case, I suggest putting tape on top of the part of the case that it's touching. It's a cheap fix, but it should work. Unless you wanna just try to get something else that works for your build.

OK thank you very much

put some electric tape where it touches.

I just cut it off with a dremel
