Will a B75 chipset motherboard work with ivy bridge?

I'm wondering if a http://uk.msi.com/product/mb/B75A-G41.html will work with an i3 3220? or will it need a bios update?

Yes it will work. You will probably have to update the BIOS though.

don't you need a sandy bridge chip to update the bios to the ivy bridge one?

Surely you could have went to the CPU Support List on that same product page you linked and looked to see if the i3 3220 was on the list, no?

I did, it's really hard to find information about these boards seeing as there are so few builds with them. I really needed a second opinion!
