Will a Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Still Game?

Just wondering; i've recently replaced my Athlon 64 X2 3800+ home server, with 4gb DDR2 Hyper X, to a NAS box and i was wondering if i paired it with a old Radeon 5850 will it be a decent console replacement for bed gaming.

Thanks in advance- Dom

Not realy anless you are playing some real old games http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=du6t51cqwi0

No i wont be playing anything too intensive, maybe newer racing games such as F1, Dirt ETC. Maybe some indie games on occasion.

Dirt 1 and 2 probably, F1 2010 - maybe. Indie Games - most definitely. FTL for example runs very good on my Turion X2 Ultra.

I would say everything until mid 2009, maybe 2010.

I've got an Athlon64 X2 6000+ with 2GB of RAM and a Sapphire Radeon R7 250. The thing about this is that the Graphics card is the most important thing about it.

I can run Battlefield 3 at 1920x1200 with fluid framerates and this is with medium settings except AO is turned off and textures are set to high.

I game on a Athlon64 X2 4200+ with 4gb of RAM and a old Zotec GT 440. On medium settings, Dirt 3 about 45 to 75 frames 1920x1080. AO is also off. 2007 system orignaly. But I agree with Sheridanm962 "Graphics card is the most important thing".
