So before I had an ethernet cable hooked up to my computer, but just recently my family noiw has a wifi router so the cable is useless.
My mobo is an Asus 6 GB/S P8Z77-V Lk Lga 1155 Intel Z77 Hdmi Sata Usb 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard.
The problem is that when I try to connect to the wifi, there isn't an option for it like there is when you look at the 1 minute videos explaining how to do it. I can't go to the bottom right of my screen (since I have windows 8.1), click on the bars and see wifi as an option, nor can I see the available wifi networks.
So I was wondering if that mobo doesn't support wifi or something. Why can't i find wifi capabilities? It seems like my computer is always searching for the stupid cable to connect to the internet. I've already tried uninstalling the Realtek drivers but the computer just assumes its going to use the ethernet cable, so thats the driver it keeps downloading all the time.
Does my desktop have no wifi compatibility?
Thanks!
Nick
