WiFi troubles with consoles

Hello everone.

I have an unusal problem with my playstation 3 and my roommates xbox's. None of them can connect to the internet using their Wifi, but ethernet works fine. I prefer using ethernet on my devices but I like to move my playstation around so Wifi makes much more sence. I have contacted my ISP (Timewarner) who helped me change my security settings on my router, but did not make a difference. This only happens at my appartment and my playstation seems to connect fine to other peoples Wifi. I have googled this problem and I cannot seem to find any solution. Also I want to buy a Roku but I am afraid it wont be able to connect wirelessly.

Here is a list of devices currently, or have before been able to work on my WiFi: Laptops, PS vita, Cellphones, Tablets, and my desktop.

Any ideas are appreciated! hopefully there are some Wifi Wizards on these forums!

I got a similar problem my PS3 don't work with either my ISP's wifi and my friends PS3's don't either. So we just do wired conections. My 3DS's, laptops and towers all work fine.

Really odd problem and a huge pain in the ass. Things like this are reasons why I really hate that microsoft wants a required internet connection to play their system.

If you haven't fixed it already, try setting the router to G-Only. The mixed-mode function seems to confuse some devices. Because my older G4 runs off of B, I have a secondary router set to B-only that it uses so that I don't slow down the network.

Have you tried another router?
