Wifi question

Hello guys! So recently I build a new PC, well its almost finished but I installed Windows 7 on a hard drive my friend let me borrow until i get my SSD next week.

Here the problem I ran into, the place where my PC is standing gets terrible Wifi speeds compared to other places in the house.

Is there any way I can fix this, other than moving my PC to a different location?

I could talk to my dad about getting a new router, or maybe I should by a Wifi repeater or something?

Specs of PC so far:

Mother board: Asus Maximus Formula IV

CPU: Intel I-5 4670K

RAM: Corsair Dominator 16 Gb 1600

PSU: Corsair AX860i

HDD: Toshiba 300 gb

If the link is not working here is another: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3048891848

If the usual stuff like changing the channel the signal is broadcast on doesn't make a difference then a repeater is a good alternative, along with the powerline devices which send the signal through your electrical wiring (would have to make sure your wiring is compatible with the devices.

Then there's the best option which is to run a cable to your PC location :)

If the Wi fi card supports external antennas you may want to try that as you can move them around with out moving the PC. If you can, move the rougher in to your room and use a hard connection.

Thanks for the reply. Hopefully my parent wont mind me running a cable across the living room.

Unfortunately I don't have a port in my room to plug it in, but the room next door does.

I am currently using the antenna that came with the Asus motherboard. Not sure if I have to configure it or something like that.
