WiFi problems

Didn't know where else to post this so i'll just put it here.

I have a problem with my mothers Notebook, its an Asus K55VD i5-3210M, 2,5GhZ, Nvidia 630m, 4GB RAM, running win 8.1 Home. The thing is that from time to time it just refuses to connect to the internet even if it has full bars and everything is working fine on the computer side. It just wont open anything in the browser. Sometimes restarting the router helps, sometimes restarting the computer helps, sometimes nothing helps besides waiting - after an hour it just magically works somehow. I have tried everything I know and little what I have found on the net but still no help.

Any ideas?

Maybe a bad driver? Maybe you have not a large enough IP range to accomadate all your devices? Who knows chief, your description sounds like everyone one else out there.

I have dealt with drivers already but the thing is, that all other devices work just fine except this one. The IP range might be a possibilty though...

if you have a cellphone or tablet, download the WiFi Analyzer app. take a screen shot and post the picture up. you could be on a crowded channel.

Windows 8 is notorious for making the internet unusable if an update has started installing itself. It forces you to reboot to complete it. Then your internet magically starts working normally again.
