WiFi PCIe adapter

Hello all,

I just built a PC and I need a new PCIe wifi adapter now to connect. I got a cheap one before and it wouldn't work properly, so I need one that has decently fast speeds for gaming and internet browsing and that can talk to the router (It's about 40 ft away through many walls on a different floor of my house, and there may be metal in my walls). My router is a netgear nighthawk ac1900 dual band and i have a i7 4700k with a asus z87-k mobo and samsung 840 pro ssd and 8 gigs of kingston ram (if this info is needed). Also, the card has to be below 20-30 dollars because I'm kinda out of money right now after building the pc. Thanks for all the help guys.

Cheers!

I use an Intel 7260 in both my computers they fairly cheap 40-50$ USD for dual band receivers and are really easy to get working.  The real question is what does your router broadcast 802.11a/b/g/n/ac? or 802.11a/b/g/n or what? You only need a card that has what your router supports anything extra and you are wasting money/future proofing. There is a Intel receiver in your price range +/- a few check out a Intel 62205(34$). If you want to spend a little less you get less range and less speed but if you stick to good brands like Asus and Intel you aren't likely to go wrong.
