Wifi AC/5Ghz Antenna for

Hey all,

been following the Tek since like around episode 30 and never really had the guts to sign up for this forum, but since Logan and Wendell always talk about how great this board is i thought ill ask for help on this problem. 

I have an Asus RT-AC66U router, and the house is build that everything operates from the shoe/coat closet. My walls are thick so if i close the door of the shoe closet i loose about 50% of the signal standing about 1 meter away. 

So i wanted to see if there are extension cables and they have plenty of DIY but they all say it supports 2.4ghz which sounds not very appealing since i paid for something that can do 5Ghz and AC. Also when i keep looking at those unboxings of Asus Motherboards i always see those antennas included, which would be perfect to wire to the router and stick the antennas outside of the door. 

does anybody know how i could get my hands on one of these, or any alternatives. thanks

wouldn't an easier solution be to place your router where it isn't in a closet?

Haha ya placing it outside would make sense however i have a few voodoo roomates that dont wamt that for some odd reason. Plus i tried a powerline amd hooking it up somewhere else but our qos or are iptv eats all the bandwidth.

I hope i find something on ebay. The last time i checked shipping cost twice then what the product was. I live in a "special" place lol

PS. i feel like a dumbass now, on ebay there are actually quite a few antennas for sale, i guess the last time i searched i must have search for the wrong words. thanks for the help again.
