I am looking for a wifi 6 / Bluetooth pcie adapter. Any recommendations? I’ve seen msi, Gigabyte, Asus and a ton of other names that i’ve never heard of while browsing Amazon…
Rather than brand, look at what chip they’re using. How’s that companies track record with Linux support for example.
Good point. I will search around for which wifi 6 chip works with linux. I believe I came across a thread on this forum about intel chips tend to work well with linux, but I will still search some more.
Fenvi was one of the earlier ones… works fine. You want one that is heatsinked.
The AX200/201 is the one to go for. A popular one is the Gigabyte GC adapter. Retails for around 30-40€
Just dont buy a chinese made chip its all software defined radio.
Make you own fucking chips
Is there even an alternative to the AX200/201 from Intel?
I haven’t seen any Broadcom chips or the like on any PCIe/M.2 card.
Ehhm AX200/201 is from Intel. What do you mean by that?
That I have not seen any other PCIe/M.2 cards from other manufacturers (Broadcom etc.) out in the wild, aside the ones from Intel.
ax200 might be the ONLY chip out. i have no clue why one of the coms hasnt made one yet, and if they have its unfindable.
just make sure you get the ax20x you need i think 201 is some intel specific shit while ax200 is just normal pci
Yes the AX201 uses CNVI:
