Wife's Dark Inquisitor

So you'll notice that Dell XPS 435t/9000 in the pic below. It Code 43'd the gtx 760 and so my wife couldn't play her dragon age origins. (which she bitched because it was laggy (cpu is old)) Anyway I decided to fix things while I sent the GPU to RMA. And by fix I mean I built her a PC better than mine! lol Overclocked the GPU and CPU is @4.6ghz.

The only major gripe is for some ungodly reason the 12v power wouldn't fit through the hole in the case to plug into the top of that motherboard. Thankfully its a closed case, I just tie wrapped it inside to leave airflow room.

I ended up taking off the middle flap and left the front flap (top.) When I got the H100i In for it.

Ultra all the way, take that old computer!

edited: Uploaded better pictures. I bought a Nikon Coolpix L830 which is a lot better than an iphone 4s camera.

Not error 43! 42 is the answer to the universe, but not 43!

Edit: just realised your eight pin going up the left side. Anyway to hide it behind the tray? I have pretty bad OCD about these things. Otherwise it's awesome.

Edit 2: you could run it behind the board itself.

Nice build! I really like your choice of case.

I didn't think about running it behind the board itself. Wasn't aware that was possible lol ;p

Yea I tried fitting it through the hole where it normally would go, but for the life of me the clip part is just barely keeping me from getting it in there. I could just cut it off, but I don't know how that would affect a solid contact for power input.

Sorry if I missed it but why did you mount the GPU down so low?

I am also super OCD so would suggest the EPS cable goes behind the motherboard too if you have time.

Nice components though she is lucky, it sounds like a big ol'upgrade especially for Dragon Age!

When I installed the GPU I didn't think the latency was noticeable being so far away from the CPU, but enough people said otherwise so I have since moved it. I'll upload a picture later today when I get more light in the room.

I approve, welcome to the Fractal Club lol. Just move that 290 to the top slot and she's good to go.

Thanks!
