Why would anyone ever get a mac

really why would anyone EVER buy a overpriced Mac when you can get a pc for less and that has better hardware. msi has some new pc they showed off at computex with a gtx 780m and i7 with a 3k display for 2500, around the same price as MacBook Pro. they charge 500 for a 512gb ssd which you can get for like 350 and they don't tell you what ssd it is. a MacBook Pro has like a gt640m which is crap And it has just one yet they charge like 2k when you can get a pc with two 770ms and a true quad core so why would you ever get a Mac. The desktops are also overpriced and underpowerd so it fair to say that anyone who gets a Mac is an idiot and even if you want the os you can turn that pc into a hackingtosh and asus and msi offer ultra books with alluminium bodies.

Never underestimate the power of slick advertising.

or comparatively trouble free computing.

(also, this topic is posted every week; may be worth using the search function to find 100's of opinions on this topic)

So people are too lazy to research which computer is more powerful.

How do I use the search function, I'm using mobile so it might not work.

What beats the Macbook Air (probably the only mac I would buy) in sleekness, quality of chassis, reliablity, and battery life?

Edit: And if you want to develope for iOS/OS X?

Guess it doesn't work on mobile.

Power isn't at the top of the list of most people's priorities. A lot of people like the fact that macs present an elegant and simple solution, which is fine.

How about the asus Enbook prime or the razer edge pro, also whyndoes sleekness matter. I said in the post you can turn a pc into a hackingtosh, so you can develop for ios/os x and really why would you want to, android and windows is much better.

Like I said asus and Mia have some very sleek nice looking laptops and so does razer, also what does simple mean, do you mean the design?

I suppose if you have an aluminium sofa, desk and wallpaper you'd want all aluminium computers so that they blend in right?

as a matter of fact I do have a alluminium couch.

use the 'site:' function on google, type:

site:teksyndicate.com

followed by key words. This will just bring up results from the specified site

I'm actually thinking of getting a Macbook Air soon. I can't find a PC equivelant that is similarly priced.

The build quality on that thing is awesome. And I want something that is thin and light.

Get a msi gx70 for 1200 with tee quad core and a 8970m instead of shitty intel hd 4500 graphics, it has good build quality as well but is heavier Or a asus zenbook.

True not tee

I wouldn't buy the razer because I wouldn't need that much power in a laptop, nor would I want to spend that much. The Asus Zenbook seems to cost about the same as the macbook air (13"vs13")

Why wouldn't you just by a mac and bootcamp?

I said in the post you can turn a pc into a hackingtosh, so you can develop for ios/os x

I would like to know why you say windows and android are much better than os x/ios?

The Macbook Air makes the msi gx70 look like a tank! its nowhere near as good build quality or portable......a lot to give up for a better GPU (and there about the same price here).

Typing this on my PC laptop, not my Macbook.....incase you think I'm a Mac fanboy ;)

This always seem to be a comment made by people who don't have Macs, rather then people do.......?
