For those that don't want watch the video, basically the Game has a minimum RAM requirement of 6GB and a fatal error occurs, preventing you from playing the game if you don't meet that. This guy, used a modified .exe to allow him to play the game without having 6GB in his system. He states that he completed the whole campaign and even shows that his system barely uses 3GB(total) while the game is running... Thus this is just a stupid thing to do IMHO
Infinity Ward don't care about the PC community, their main focus is the console market, this has been known since the days of MW2. They literally do a bare bones port, maybe change one or two things in the UI for graphics settings and then release it because they know that all the CoD fanboys will buy it without thinking twice, therefore getting them an extra bit of money.
They probably should have included the 64 bit operating system requirement like in bf4. At any rate, I decided not to buy it. Not much has changed since CoD 4. Except for killstreaks. They seem to add more and more of those...
Dice pleaded with EA for another month, because they considered the game not to be ready...EA said no.
Why does this happen? Because of the arrested development society in which we live. EA knows that thousands of people will pre-order their crap, even after repeatedly having been raped before, and that those people will not tolerate delays...EA also knows that these child-like ''people'' will happily be raped again, and again, and again, ad infinitum...
Stockholm syndrome...Identification of the victim with it's oppressor...
EA is a Corporation, not a business, it's only objectives are to make money, thus keeping it's shareholders happy...It never was, or will be, about making a better product. Same goes for all Corporations, until people stop buying their products, until they revert to becoming privately held endeavours (accountable for their products, and proud of their creations), the end result will always be the same. People pay for shit...What exactly do they hope to get in return?
Anything that is not made with pride, passion, and love, will always be a con...Yet, the main culprits are the people who buy into the con...The secret of every good con is that both parties are equally responsible, and invested. Both are in the mindset of the con.
EA? where? CoD is made by activision... BF is EA. But that's besides the point. My point was that the company would sell more copies (=more money) if they actually posted the true system requirements...
The very reason for my post! This move makes absolutely no sense, whatsoever... Unless like they say, it's because they want to push people towards consoles. But still... Just Stupid!
A 32-bit coded game requiring 6GB available system RAM, I think not. This is some kind of marketing ploy to try and make the consumer think they are getting a "innovative and new" game. When in all actuality, this game is the same old pile of stinking First person shooter crap that litters the game shelves these days. It is a polished turd with flashy graphics to get people who have no critical thinking abilities to buy it and play it.
