Why is sRGB colour profile always greenish on every monitor I've used

So I just got a Dell U2713HM and decided to check out the sRGB profile trying to get a nice colour calibration.

but to my distain the monitor seems to have a green hue with it, and whites look gross when compared to my crossover IPS.

but my dell isn't the only monitor like this I have an Asus eIPS monitor that has the same thing, sRGB makes the monitor look greenish.

why is this? I thought sRGB was supposed to be a special calibration that makes the colours as close to reality as possible.

advanced apology if this is a stupid question

your contrast is most likely too high in yellow and blue most likely to enhance chroma in the YCbCr profile. just do an online color calibration test changing settings in both your gpu and monitor until the colors look right.

I see, I'm using a custom calibration now.

sadly discovered the monitor has 2 dead pixels near the middle D: the guy claimed it had zero dead pixels.
