Why is RAM so expensive?

Hey Fellas,

 

Is it just me or has RAM prices like doubled recently? The cheapest 8GB pair of sticks I can get now is £50, used to be more like £35?

What's it like for you guys in America? Is it the same?

DDR3 isent being made at the moment the factorys are tooling up for DDR4 production pricing is only going to go up.

£49 good ram i am useing a set of it overclocks nice too if you what to overclock
