Why is it that it took a Woman to get this done?

The One Thing Subway Is Still Hiding From All Of Us!

Witnessing the power of the Food Babe Army this week has been absolutely incredible.

On Tuesday, February 4th, I launched a petition for the removal of a dangerous plastic chemical called azodicarbonamide from Subway sandwich bread – the same stuff used in yoga mats, shoe rubber and synthetic leather. This was after repeated attempts to reach out to Subway since June of 2012 to learn more about why they are using this (asthma inducing and potentially carcinogenic) chemical here in North America and not in any other countries. They never responded until now.

Within 24 hours, the petition received over 50,000 signatures, and Subway’s social media channels were completely overrun by concerned citizens and the Food Babe Army. I want to thank the countless number of friends, family members, fellow bloggers, organizations, and everyday citizens who took swift action to tell Subway we deserve the same safer ingredients they use overseas.

To date, the petition has received over 78,000 signatures and counting.

Why is it that it took a Woman to get this done? I thought we were suppose to be doing the dirty work?

Sack up boys.

Hmm it would be fun to see that sandwich set on fire, but I am no chemical expert so I am unsure on how safe such experiment would be.

And the fact someone did this is the main point, not a woman, it was reported over in the UK a while ago supermarkets where selling horse meat, which the meat is not bad but its the stuff they use to thin the blood which is lethal to us. Mcdonalds was found to be using another toxic chemical in their burgers.

Its getting stupid now that the fact we can even grab a quick bite to eat without been poisoned, she says this chemical cant be used in the UK/EU, but I bet you they have another chemical that is just as lethal.

Eat food that rots, enough said.

From the average persons look on in, Yes it is gratifying to see you as an individual can make a difference... I find that pathetic, That people are so weak willed that they have to reassure themselves of such miniscule things.

We were given testosterone and the aggression that comes along with it for a reason.

whats up with the title?

Why is it that it took a Woman to get this done?

i mean im no womans advocate but you're making it seem like we should all be ashamed of ourselves for letting a woman take care of business.

also fuck subways anyways, shitty ass teenagers dont know shit about making sandwiches. i asked for light mayo and that fucker squeezed the whole bottle in my sammich, i just threw that shit away.

FUCK YOU SUBWAY.

Next they should tackle propylene glycol... wouldn't that be a battle?

You should be, I know I am. There is nothing wrong with a Woman taking action. What's wrong is males in today's society are so complacent that it took a Woman to say enough is enough. Than just proceed to go for the kill.

Read ^^^^

Subway has never been tasty in the first place.

I'm really not sure what you're trying to say. It makes absolutely no difference that it was a women, just that it was done.

Complacency ensues.

aspartame +1, as well as msg and fluoride.

Flouride is a pretty massive issue, But should be done locally. MSG is related to Candida overgrowth. You need a healthy brain in order to fight these battles which is why I favored aspartame.

imo Aspartame.

Candida Overgrowth is a pretty wide spread problem in America as well....

Propylene glycol is pretty insignificant in comparison to others. I vape it every day actually.

Jimmy Johns is where its at

This is a good cause. You wouldn't be on defense about the boys vs girls bs if you didn't bring it up. She is a human. <- that is a period there. We do not need to get into anything deeper than that around here. It looks like that point you were trying to drive home has really derailed the conversation. I mean, this is really about Subway.

Anyway, I don't eat anything like this. I think subway is at fault... but I think the morons who eat this stuff are just as at fault, if not more. It's the ignorant masses who just shove shit into their mouths without knowing what it is. They keep shitty chains like Subway in business.

you know, when you actually look at the 'secret' ingredients that are being poured into what can be considered 'fast' read 'cheap and easy' read '((sorry to go here)) but 'poor / lower income bracket foods'  I cant help but Don my Super expensive Tinfoil hat with custom coat hanger antenna and chin scratch this:

' The population of earth is enormous and bulging at the seams

' Rich people don't like other people unless they are equally rich and powerful and look down on common folk

' Food companies are run by rich people / shareholders who don’t give a damn about normal people

.. putting it all in the mix, the rubber, the aspartame, the MSG's the poisoned meats, the deception of where the food is processed and how, the bleaching agents, the 90% water injected turkeys, the genetically modified food...

it would be interesting to see how rich people eat and where their meat and veg is produced.

The take home here is to grow your own food as much as you can and make your own meals.

(((( The threat to this is genetically modified zombie crops that die after one life meaning corporations literally have an iron fist on each and every seed you buy ))))

So, its great that this has been highlighted but how many more examples do you need that going to a real grocery, going to a real local butchers or farm outlet and growing your own is 100% better. It may not be cheaper, but its better.

Sadly city folk lose out here, but that's the breaks.. you have shiny LED billboards and fast internet.

My opinion is, if you didn't make it yourself, then you really didn't care all that much in the first place.

i work at subway
