Is it because there is no other ISP around?
Is it that there isn't another carrier that has similar speeds?
Just wanted to know.
1) other choice is AT&T
2) better speeds and cheaper than what AT&T is offering
3) no data cap like with AT&T
4) is not using adsl like AT&T does... though coax is shite, still better than adsl.
For Washington:
- Century Link is the other broadband selection
- Century Link doesn't have the same coverage or speeds
- Comcast has been nicer about support recently*
*Comcast is still pretty bad.
To bad more ISPs don't have better coverage.
Both really, they're the best of the worst where I live. I can't complain much, I get 100 down and 10 up for a fair price. Century Link would be the other option but it's absolute garbage.
Better question is, do you have a choice?
no.
2 choices,
expensive and slow Century Link
Fast Comcast. We have a really good deal, so not expensive 100 down 10 up
My only alternative is DSL through CenturyLink.
You make a point, which is sad.
stuck with comcast only other option is DSL with CenturyLink and well no thanks. Oh and Comcast called today to ask me questions for customer survey you know cause they are listening and trying to improve.....
You just don't hear about them trying to improve. I'm not saying that no matter where you are Comcast will always treat you like shit, but I don't hear a lot about people loving Comcast.
Ive looked into the couple fiber companies we have around but none offer service near by...every time CenturyLink reps come by telling me to switch I say run fiber give me faster speeds and Ill drop Comcast in a heartbeat but no one wants to improve jack.
