Why do people not know about the 7930

Just wanted it to be known that there in an AMD 7930, it can crossfire with 7950s, 7970s, and 7990s. AMD was stupid and named it a 7870xt, but it is in fact a 79xx series card. 7850:1024 shaders 7870:1280 shaders 7930:1536 shaders 7950:17xx shaders 7970:2048 shaders

people do know about it; they know it as the 7870xt... which is what it is...

People do know about the XT. However, the 7950 is such an incredibly low price right now, and that makes it a more appropriate choice.

Oh, Really... So, my 7950 doesn't overclock quite as high as I'd like it to... So I guess we all can call it a 7948, or maybe a 7946...

Get my point? You can't just throw around SKUs and hope that people understand you. It's official SKU is the 7870xt. Let's leave it like that, shall we?

I put that in so many rigs I threw together here on the forum that I can't recall just how many. It's a great card, but you can get a new 7950 for $180 :|

No need to be a dickface. Please keep those comments to yourself.

I didn't think it was insulting; he was just saying that there is no 7930, that the product is named a 7870XT.

I really wasn't trying to be a "dickface." Tone of voice is not easily conveyed through written conversations, much less a forum post...

At the moment the 7870xt(HD7930) IS £212 and a HD7950 is £190 so its kind of a pointless buy at the moment.

You can even get a HD7950 for £170 now if you go for a XFX (I'd never recommend geting a XFX card over a hd7850 because of all the heat problems thay have) or a single fan gpu.

A lot of people here were recommending the 7870 LE & XL before the 7950 price drops.
