It might of just been that it wasent their area of intrest, wendal does programming, I've seen his website. But I'm not really sure on what logan and pistol do (apart from pistols streaming of course). But I Qain does networking.
wenndaall has a website? where?
I was also thinking about that, but I really want to know the story behind if there is a story, I mean you know, like how did Qain end up on administrator type of work, just to know them more than what the normal content we do get, that's all.
Where did you read that?
I'm actually studying I.T. and even though I've really been enjoying C and Java, I've been moving away from programming because I heard the opposite. It's the kind of work which is extremely easy to outsource.
I think networking and storage is a lot more in demand with the cloud getting really massive and mainstream.
Just my 2 cents though.
A little is very useful. I had a poor experience early on which gave me a distaste for it. However, understanding Objective Oriented concepts will be enough. You can self teach yourself additional skills such as scripting which can prove most useful in tedious day to day maintenance.
yoink
goformikey,
Just looking around the internet statistics like, even on jobsites, you'll see that there are more page when you search for software engineers and programmers. Network related stuff are also on the rise, but storage is just a fragment of a job of a server engineer.
