Ok i have been playing TDU2 recently and the fps i am getting seems really low for my setup,i am getting 17-30 most of the time and up to 45 fps if i am lucky, when i would thought i would be able to max it out and get 60+fps,but i have also had low fps in 2 other games(shift 2 and dirt showdown, both about 25-45maxed out).
I also noticed that while playing TDU2 with msi afterburner running on another screen that the lower the fps i am getting the lower the GPU usage is,like 70% usage gets me 45 fps,but most of the time it stays around 59% usage,i have not checked to see if the same thing still happens with the other 2 games.
My rig is:
CPU:AMD FX-8150 @ stock
CPU Cooler:CM hyper 212+
CASE:CM HAF 932 Advanced
RAM:2x4GB Crucial Ballistix DDR3 1600Mhz
PSU:Cougar CMX 1000w
MOBO:ASUS Sabertooth 990FX
GPU:Sapphire 7970 reference card
HDD:1x 1.5TB Seagate sata 2,1x 250GB WD sata 1
SSD:1x60GB OCZ Agility 3
Am i right that i should be able to max them no problem?
check CPU usage on each core if its 100% on like 2-4 cores then that means your cpu is bottlenecking it, what graphic settings do you have (please don't say max, like AA, AF resolution eyecandy, be detailed) how much ram do you have and what speed of ram, do you have firefox open on youtube, it has a nasty habit of putting amd cards in a lower media clocks
I have checked cpu usage while playing and it is at 40% and ram usage is at 60%,game settings are 1920x1080 res, vsync off,8xAA,environment quality very high, car and opponent quality very high, texture filtering quality very high,FX quality very high,i have 8gb of ddr3 1600mhz,i have don't use firefox i use chrome, but i do have 4 tabs running on chrome(youtube, yahoo email, twitter, and tek syndicate)i also have a folder open, fraps is running(not recording but to keep an eye on my fps),msi afterburner, skype, steam, utorrent, and cpuid hardware monitor ar also open.
its flash itself that does it try closing your browser
Sorry i did not anwser sooner i was working,i just tried it with my browser closed and it did not help.
Did you try updating your graphics card drivers and the game?
the game auto updates everytime i start it,i am using AMD drivers 12.6,i just noticed 12.8 came out 2 days ago i am going to update now.
EDIT:i updated the drivers and for about 3 seconds after i started driving around my gpu usage was at 94% and i was getting 60-75 fps, then after those 3 seconds it dropped back to the same low fps as before....
