I just noticed this white line on the monitor, what could it be?
It’s barely noticeable but enough to bug me.
just old age. seen several laptops like this. maybe a damaged cable?

never seen this on a newer laptop. just seen this on older laptops. any damage around the screen?

how often do you move the screen?
I carry my laptop almost every day in a bag.
how much do you open and close the lid, adjust the screen tilt, etc.
At least twice a day (open-close lid) for startup and shutdown.
most likly a worn out pin on the monitor. have you tried a different OS to see if it occurs.
Windows 10 and Linux. Tried both same thing.
possible you might be able to get it sent in for warrenty for a replacement screen.
Will they not complain about Linux being installed? (Asus)
maybe. probably will just boot to a external hdd for testing.
I will have to see if it's still on warranty. I bought it from amazon.
should be 2 year.
