Whisk(e)y

Nope… Nobody knows…
But some reviewers have guessed Caol Ila since their business is mainly selling to others…

Nope. I am holding for a sale… All Scarabus expressions are over my budget. I can afford it, but I like to pose limitations on miself so I don’t overspend on whisk(e)y…

What am I missing?

Ageing whisk(e)y:
new oak (american, european, japanese, etc)
used bourbon barrels (1st and 2nd fill)
X rum
seasoned sherry
Oloroso
PX

What am I missing? There should be more options for the ageing…
I am asking, cause of my game project. I need to set up the options for ageing whisk(e)y in the game…

Nevermind that… I am juggling over 150 variables in the game. I have enough variety

) New Oak [American, European, Japanese]
) Ex-Bourbon [1st fill / 2nd fill]
) New Oak finish [American, European]
) Wine finish/matured [Bordeaux, etc.]
) Fortified Wine finish/matured [Sherry, Port]
) Liquor finish [Cognac, Rum]

We both forgot quarter casks…

Wasn’t referring to sizing… whole different plot point

Just barrel condition, before the whisk(e)y / newmake is applied

… OoofffFF

some were left blended.

Can’t tell if this is a whiskey joke in really poor taste or an actual misspelling of blinded.

Had my first pour, of the Makers Mark-CS
Aroma(s):
Brown sugar, cherry, faintest bit of whole wheat bread, [VERY] ethanol forwards

Flavour(s) / sensation(s):
Saccharin sugar, Cherry, [VERY] astringent, Faint bit of wheat bread, dash of white pepper;
… A Liquified Cherry Lozenge… Hangs around, for more than a good minute
AND it goes, from a slightly cooling to a warming feeling

Will give some oxidize time, along with being poured, into a non-canadia glencairn

I never identified any cherry in MM…
Since everyone can find it, my guess is my mouth is broken…

I just opened Aberfeldy 12…
It’s really weird.
The notes say honey, that I don’t catch at all, citrus, that I can’t identify, they say malt everywhere, and I don’t really know what malt should smell or taste like, so here we are…
I am having whisk(e)y that I can’t identify any smell of flavor notes…

Soo… it’s just a, get smeshed liquor?

A what now?

Oh, no no, it’s just that my pallet blows.
I mean I can’t identify flavours in Aberlour 12, and Aberlour is labeled as one of the best to identify shery flavors…

It’s my pallet that is awful.
The whisk(e)y is just fine…

Had it a while back… I found it, for lack of better description, too watered down
When fail-safe, goes too deep in the safe, that it fails

Aberlour 12 or Aberfeldy 12?

Aberfeldy

Yeah, I can see your point.

You can see how this is mainly a blend distillery and barely have any products on their own…

I have one here, can’t really taste those things either, instead it feels kinda… generic.
Still liked it though, but for the same price range here there are better options IMO.

Did some restockings:
Liqueur - Disarrono
Bourbon - Elijah Craig
Rum - Plantation OFTD

Op tested this

With some Suntory whiskey

I dig it- much much better endurance and much slower watering down effect over ice cubes.
