I have a gtx660 non- ti at the moment and a aerocool vp550 psu. should i upgrade my gpu to a 7950 or get a better psu?

That really depends on your rig and all the outher components you have in your pc, but i wouldn't trust anything under 650w 80+ bronze single rail psu with a 7950
ok thanks ill upgrade my psu and gpu for a 7870ghz edition. and overclock it to be around the same as a 7950.
if you dont gonne oc youre system, then a 550W 80+ bronze will be fine.. a 7950 will runn on full load arround 300/340 W , if you not gonne oc crazy things, it should be fine...a 7870 ghz edition wont use less power then a 7950, remeber, that probably a stock 7950 performs better in gaming, then a oc 7870 and oc 7870 could probably use more or equal power to a stock 7950.. in both ways i personaly prefer a 650W 80+ bronze psu, but a 550W could do the job..my advice, go for a 7950 if you can afford it... ☺
