Which speakers should I get? $500 budget Plus a sound question at bottom

I like what I am hearing. Lots of old school rave influences that I totally dig. But there's quite a few performers with the Mizz K monicker isn't there?

Ok took a look there. I will take a closer look at your parts list, but for now gave the low down on video cards. Don't, but a Fury X cause it isn't worth it. Also 4GB cards are obsolete and not worth it, especially since you can get cards with more ram, and the same performance for the same price.

It may only be 4Gb but it's high bandwidth memory which is supposed to be way better than DDR5 from all the research Ive done so far your the only person to say to not get it.

Just to give an answer here for others wondering what we are talking about lol

The HBM vram is faster, but the amount of ram used by a given game should remain the same. When you go over the video ram, the card swaps info out from system memory. System memory is much slower than VDDR5, let alone HBM, therefore the benefit of HBM is useless. Tying up system memory can also cause problems in of itself, further hampering performance if you run out of system ram. I have 16GB of system ram and a 780 (3gb vram). In Ark: Survival Evolved, it uses up all of my system ram, in part because the game is using waaayyy more than the 780's 3GB of ram. Looks amazing, but poor frame rate.

I saw a benchmark suit with a bunch of different cards somewhere recently (either Jayz2cents or here at Tek Syndicate) where an nvidia card was leading up till 4k, in which case one of the 390s overtook it, simply because the nvida card couldn't use its full horsepower because it was waiting on ram swaps.

Essentially at 4k you will use more than 4GB for the latest and future games which not only invalidates the benefits of HBM, but also bottlenecks the entire card.

Wrong thread should have posted it I'm my which GPU should I get thread click on my profile to find it

After watching Logan's desk tour he bashes on the Audio Engine A5+ he flat out said don't buy them and I trust his opinion more than any ones. Sadly I can't get him to respond to me at all which is actually kind of upsetting but whatever I know hes always super busy so I guess he doesn't have time for this lowly peon. But I'm thinking about the Yamaha HS8's but they need a balanced signal and computer is unbalanced. So does anyone have a solution for this or want to recommend other speakers? Because I figures I need some kind of converter or sound card but couldn't find a converter i guess I don't know what I'm looking for. Then couldn't find a sound card with XLR ports on it.

I found these adapters: http://www.markertek.com/category/XLR-Adapters

I guess you will have to pick your setup. I am not sure if the adapters actually send out a balanced signal or not. If they do, it would be best to adapt at the sound card, and run a balanced wire. If not, it would be best to use a shielded cable to a female RCA connection at the speaker.

I'm backing out on those just realized $349 is for just 1 not a pair. SO now I'm thinking of just getting the Mackie cr-4's to save some money this time around and just get nicer ones next semester when I get more money to do this again. Opinions please any one have experience with these Mackies or any other 5" monitors to recommend?
