Which PSU should I get? 850w

Hi

I am planning a build next week and the final thing I need to decide on would be the PSU. I was going to get the Corsair RM1000watt PSU but he doesn't have those in stock. This is my build here:

You may be thinking 850watt is a bit overkill but I want enough leeway so that I could potentially add another 280x Toxic. It seems like these card draw a ton of power. Would 850w be enough to power crossfire 280x Toxic?

The alternatives I was given were: (bear in mind these are New Zealand prices)

Corsair RM 850w Gold $289

Corsair HX 850W V2 Gold $289

Antec High Current Pro 850W Platinum $299

FPS Aurum Pro 1000w $279


Does anyone know anything about the FPS Aurum Pro? I did a little research but it seems as though these PSU units are very popular?

all of the ones you listed are very solid units and will be just fine I would go with the FSP though its a good price compared to the others for a good unit

Thanks for the reply. Do you think 850w is capable of powering 2x 280x Toxic cards? Each card uses a 2x PCI-E 8 pin connector. A bit higher than normal at the moment.

I think 850w would be able to do CF but if you really want to OC with CF and an 8350 1000w would be safe bet

They're all good PSUs. Personally I'd go with FSP Aurum Pro 1000w

Yeah I will probably take the FSP Aurum Pro 1000w, due to the price and extra wattage. It comes with 5 year warranty, so I mean it cannot be bad at all. And it's gold rated. Thanks for help guys
