Which of these thermal pastes should I use?

I have an old syringe of Tuniq TX-2, never used or opened, but the catch is it's 5 years old.

 

Or should I use the included thermal paste in the NZXT Havik 140?

 

I heard the paste they give you sucks, but is it better than 5 year old Tuniq?

probably not, at if thge tx-2 is still sealed

yeah. if it's sealed, it's still probably good

  I honestly would save myself the discomfort of using either very old paste or paste you are uncomfortable about. I would go buy a syringe of good quality, fresh paste and never have to worry about it again for years to come. That is what I would do. The only question I have is, you sure the paste provided by NZXT is lousy paste? I use Cooler Master air cooling units and they provide a quality paste simply because they as a company would not want their product to perform terribly because of an exterior force like paste. Anyway, if in doubt, go get a tube of the good stuff. Hope these 2 cents are worth something. All the best in your build.

the tx-2 is AMAZING!

take the paste and put a small ammount between your fingers. then push your fingers togeather and slide them back and forth. make sure the paste still feels... like paste. if it does. use it.
