Which of These 2 Budget Gaming Builds?

Ok, so I've been configuring a build for my friend. I don't know which one to pick...

He likes to game, games like League of Legends and other stuff, not many demanding titles

What we have from our old comp

-HDD Caviar Blue 500gig

-XFX radeon 6670

I was thinking of having this, APU based setup with an ssd and running dual gfx with our 6670 we already have

Or..should we just build brand new, have no ssd

Go with the 7870 build! its just better and a ssd is not huge for gaming

Definetly go with an APU based build. The A10-5800k in crossfire with that 6670 with provide some badass power, but if you do with the APU build I recommend upgrading that RAM to 1866Mhz to make the most out of the APU.

The 7870 will destroy a 6670 and a a10

SSD is really over rated when it comes to gaming. Go for the 7870!

For performance the fx-6300 build

for budget the A10APU

An SSD only helps with load times and minimal impact on gaming, the more future proof build imo would be the FX6300 and deidicated GPU.

With the games his friend seems to play, I don't think future proof may be an issue seen as those games are not all that intensive.

True but at the end of the day if your buying new compenants you might aswell leave the door open for any future changes. Just because right now he only play low demanding games it doesnt mean he wont change up in the future + a build that has options to upgrade keeps its value for longer, if he wants to resell this PC at a later date its better to keep its window of usefulness open rather than a machine that can only play low demanding games from now.

Fair enough.

Namix, I think you're right, I mena he won't be able to fully take advantage of the hardware now, but it'll open up mroe options so he can play all the games, thanks!

depends on how much you wanna spend, you can always upgrade to an SSD later. SSD's are very nice for loading games. realllyyy nice.

Regardless SSD's are not important for gaming and if you want to game and dont care about windows start up times witch really is all for bragging rights then you dont need a ssd and if you can get a better overall performing machine without a ssd then its better to go that route
