Alright, so I have three boards that I have been looking at for awhile, and I was wondering which one would be best for my build. (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/vJ3f) Basically, which ever one that is compatible with the rest of my build, and has the lowest price is the one I would like.
Choice One: ASRock z77 extreme4 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293
Choice Two: ASRock z77 professional http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157299
Choice Three: ASUS Sabertooth z77 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=13-131-821
After some research, I think that each board is capable of SLI for the GPU selected. If not, let me know as that is pretty important. Thanks
They will all work for your setup but you have to look at what features you want also what price you are paying. persionally I would go for the asus sabertooth because that board looks ballin and is also just a great overall board.
Hope it helped!
I was looking at an alternative cooler, (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835146011)
Hmm, would these boards be able to fit a NZXT Havik 140 CPU cooler as opposed to the H100? It's a bit bigger. The thing I'm worried about is if I can fit that cooler, and still install the ram.
... I dont know why you would want to go for a havik over a H100...
but if you feel so incined as to then it all comes down to how tall your ram is
It's just a thought, really. According to Corsairs website, Corsair Vengeance RAM is exactly 2.07 inches/52.5mm tall.
After searching around briefly, it may be a problem... To save myself some trouble I think I'm just going to stick with an H100. Thanks dude
