If you want to just game, have something easy to set up and do not need beautiful graphics, you may get a PS3, but have a look at the PS4 first, latest and greatest selling console yet.
Or, you like gaming more? You like beautiful pictures? You like best gaming experience? Go for the PC. The community will help you finding parts to build one.

I am not sure what prices are like in your country.
A gaming PC will be about 50-100 US dollars more expensive than a PS4 but the games will be cheaper. You can cut prices by getting Windows discounted or free through your school or Job. Linux is free but has much less games than Windows.
A PS3 may not be bad if you can find a used one at a good price.
But the PC will be upgradable and is able to play older games. And, you can use it for School and work.
