Which Headset for Gaming?

Hey Guys,

I recently bought a set of Razer Kraken Pro's for my PC, mainly for gaming and a bit of music listening. I have to say they are great except that the 'on ear' design really hurts after long periods of use. I need to get a new headset and have narrowed it down to a few options but first here are my requirements so you know a little why i chose these are;

Over ear design

surround sound

good build quality

USB connection

Max £100 budget

PC/PS4 use

I game most nights so comfort is important, my mobo is HD audio not 5.1 or 7.1 so i would prefer a virtual option rather than a separate sound card because i also game on PS4 (thanks to my friends being less informed of the benefits of PC) and i want to avoid plugging a stereo headset into the controller. Anyway here are the headsets i am thinking of and as you all helped me so much with my recent PC build im hoping you can give your opinions.

1) Logitech G35

2) Logitech G430

3) Sennheiser PC323D

4) Sennheiser U320

5) Corsair Vengeance 1500

6) Hyper X Cloud

Thanks very much

Taz

Why do you want an USB connection? Usually this is a bad thing. If you need the microphone and you only like those headphones you listed then the Hyper X cloud is a winner for me. For better audio quality i would at the AKG K240 or some superlux 668B. I also guess you live in Europe so my No1 recommendation is to buy these: http://www.amazon.de/Sony-MDRMA900-HiFi-High-Kopfh%C3%B6rer-Klinkenstecker/dp/B007I1QXX2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1399350602&sr=8-1&keywords=sony+mdr+ma900

Keep in mind you can always buy an extra mic like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zalman-ZM-MIC1-ZMMIC1-Lapel-Microphone/dp/B00029MTMQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1401848444&sr=8-1&keywords=Zalman+Zm-Mic1

Thanks for your response and recommendation. The reason i want USB is because i will occasionally use them on the ps4 and would prefer not to plug a 3.5mm into the controller.

Ill take a look at what you suggested tho!
