Which H12 motherboard for home NAS++

Hi, I’m looking at upgrading my unraid box to get more PCIe lanes and I’m a bit unsure about which H12S motherboard to get. I’m looking at putting 6 spinning rust, 2 SSD and 2 nvme drives in the machine, I’m also after 10gbe (I have a 10gb nic, but on board would be nice), I also have a TPU and gfx card for encode/decode.
The H12SSL-i seems to be able to handle the drives, but I’d still need PCIe cards for both the nic and the TPU (b+m m.2 interface, so currently have an adapter card). The H12SSL-CT looks like it would handle the drives, I’d have to have the add in cards for TPU, but the CT has 10gbe. I could later use the LSI to add up to 8 more drives, so has some expandability. The NT appears to be able (with an adapter cable) to put the nvme drives on 1 on the sas connectors, and the other could host the 6 spinning rust and 2 SSDs, then I could put the TPU in one of the m2 slots. This would leave the most PCIe spare as I’d only need gfx cards plugged in, if I were to add more disks later I could add an HBA.
So, I quick sanity test, do I understand the options correctly?, or have I missed a gotcha somewhere?

Thanks

Sounds like you got it.

We use the NT boards with spinning rust, m.2 and SSDs. Order the second slim-SAS cable for each board so you have it when you push past 8 SATA devices on the first cable.
