Which GPU And will my PSU Handle it?

     Im looking into getting a new GPU for my system, at the moment i have a GTX 260 (old i know) It uses 2, 6 pin Pcie Connectors, i at the moment have a 550 watt Psu. But the cards i want to get are the;

Msi R9 290x Gaming (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127773)

Msi R9 290x Lightning (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127787)

Msi Gtx 970 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127832)

Saphire TRI-X OC R9 290x (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202079)

     My only problem is that in the specifications it says the recomended psu is a 750+ watt unit. What im wondering is will i need to upgrade my psu to use these cards? I also have 2 Free 8 Pic Pcie connectors as well. And if you recommend other Graphics cards let me know, my Price range is about $350.

At that point i would just get the 970 with a good cooler. It really is a great card for the money.

yeah, I would say the 970 looks best, but if you did want to save a buck, the r9 290 is a bit better bang for the buck at 290$ or 270$ with a mail in rebate

Personally I would go with nvidia at the moment with the nvidia game stream to a shield as a bonus, but that's just me

btw, currently I'm running a 7870 and it does everything I need it to

I would go for the 970 just because of better power consumption and thermals. How old is that psu? a new, good 550w would be fine, but if that psu is as old as the 260 you may wanna consider a new one..
