Getting set to start building a new PC that will be used mainly for gaming as well as be used as a main entertainment hub (for watching blu-rays) and such.
I will be able to order my CPU this weekend and I can't decide between the FX-8350 or the 4670K.
What do you guys think?
i would go with the FX8350 its cheaper but it performs inbetween an i5 and i7 in gaming.
Spend a littlebit extra in a decent GPU. is my advice. ☺
I was actually thinking of pairing the 8350 with an Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z mobo and two Asus DirectCU II R9 280X GPUs.

This is the build I was originally going to go with, but since the 290X is going to cost around $550, I'm not sure whether I should replace the dual 280Xs with a single 290X.
build looks gut but i would personaly recommend to buy a diffrent cooler, if you prefer a clc cooler then the Corsair H80i or H100i if you prefer air cooler Noctua NH-D14 or Phanteks PH-TC14PE. Also the ram why you wanne add 4x4 GB sticks? i would recommend to buy a 2x8GB kitt, its cheaper, and since the cpu has a dual chanel memory controler, its more efficient.
