Which Cougar mouse to pick

Hello,

I'm looking for an all genres gaming mouse. I play MOBA, MMO, FPS, RPG, RTS, TBS you name it.

Have a pretty big hand 19.5 cm from wrist to tip of middle finger, sort of claw grip.

Am new to gaming mice - i have a Genius x-g500 for 2 years now and i think i should find better.

At a local store there is an offer for Cougar 500M (33EUR), Cougar
550M (44EUR) and a 600M (47EUR). Haven't seen many opinions on these but they look pretty
good in the specs.

What's your opinion on what i should pick and why?

Thanks

I personally don't like laser sensors, it has been a trend lately that laser sensors always come with some sort of acceleration that is inherent to the hardware. You basically want perfect 1:1 mouse movement in all situations, so inherent acceleration is a huge no-go IMO.

From the mice you posted the 500m features one of the best sensors on the market right now, the ADNS-3090 is used in Zowie mice and many consider it a "flawless" sensor since it has absolutely zero issues with acceleration or angle snapping or anything like that (and I can confirm that, it's absolutely lovely). So that would probably be one of the best options for you, especially at that price. (and just to clarify, that is an excellent sensor, depending on the implementation it will perform differently but this is one hell of a good start to make an excellent mouse).

Shape and features is up to you, I think (from the mice that you posted) the 500m seems like the best base platform, if you're happy with the features that this specific mouse provides (and the shape, make sure to check it out at a store and see whether you like it) then you should be good to go.

If there's anything in particular that you want to ask then feel free to do so, I'm by no means an expert but I've gone through my fair share of mice and I know the basics of what to look for, what actually makes a difference and what is just marketing buzz.

From what i've read the ADNS-3090 is the most popular sensor out there. On the other hand i've seen the SDNS-3988 in more expensive models from the same lines (which i know can mean nothing). In specs it seems a more powerful version of the ADNS-3090. And what i really like is the 50 DPI option for drawing or extreme precision actions.

I don't quite understand these specifications and how they affect your experience:
- Frame rate: 6400 FPS
- Maximum tracking speed: 60 IPS
- Maximum acceleration: 20 G
And aren't these bottle-necked by the 1000 HZ pooling rate?

Thank you for taking the time.
