Which Card should I get?

Hey guys!  The video card is all I need to start my first build!  However, in my inexperience, I don't know which of these two cards I should choose.

But I know you guys will know!

Should I choose this one?

The 970 without a doubt.

The 970 is the replacement and newest version of the 770 so to speak, so definitely the 970.

Definitely the 970, it's outperforming the 780, 780ti, and r9 290x
