Which 780 ti?

There are a lot 780 ti's out the and I am getting a bit lost trying to work out which one to go for.

I am looking for the one with the most overclocking potential that comes air cooled. I will water cool at a later date, Any suggestions ?

The ASUS DirectCU II is a good choice is you're planning on watercooling later. ASUS tries to ensure that their non-reference cards have aftermarket waterblocks available. That way you get something that is overclock friendly out of the box, but you know you can get a waterblock later. A lot of non-reference cards are either very hard or impossible to find waterblocks for.

ASUS is a good balance of everything.

yep, even the refrence R9 290's and 290x are already at EOF (end of life)

What do you mean? They're breaking already?

Ewww AMD. Who wants to buy that witchcraft?

I've had an Asus GTX 660 and the cooler was so quiet that I couldn’t even hear it on full load and 60 % fan speed (fans on the card) in my R4. I now have a 780 Ti SC from EVGA with the ACX cooler and that makes a bit of noise, but I does give off a lot more heat than the 660. I's only when I'm gaming that it gets so loud that I can hear it, but then I'm wearing a headset anyway. I was quite unsatisfied when I first fired up the card because in addition to the usual fan noise, it the fans were making some weird sounds. After I had broken in the card it stopped though. Pretty good card overall, but it does not have much room for overclocking because it's already overclocked a lot. At least you are guaranteed a higher clock speed than the other cards with the "Super Clocked" version, but you can't do much yourself.

Asus makes great video cards. Gigabyte could also be a good option because the pcb they uses is identical to the stock one so you can almost always water cool it. Although Asus will run better than Gigabyte on air.

Evga kingpin 780 ti if you can afford it. Slick and Linus got 1333 on air with the ln2 bios and all the voltage mods.

Da KPE!
