So I've been a Criminal Justice major and recently switched my career path to I.T. however I don't want to abandon the whole criminal justice thing. So now I'm eager to learn about cyber crimes, obviously hacking comes into play.
What's a great place to start, what should I know?
I would recommend looking up information on Security + and CEH for a start. CEH is an excellent path if you are interested in hacking legally and Security+ is good for anyone interested in information security. The Security+ path is a good and easy start into the security side, but if you have little knowledge of IT currently you may want to read up on A+ and Network+ first. It really depends on your level of knowledge currently. Also, there are a lot of schools that have a cyber crime certificate available for criminal justice majors. Hopefully this helps.
Thanks of the info. I'm actually going to take the 220.802 exam this saturday! Also my next certa was going to be either the Network+ or Security+. I know some networking but not a lot and want to learn more. Hence getting the Network+ cert. Which one do you think I should go for next. Network+ or Security + ?
