Where to buy high-res audio with the current library?

I refuse to believe that 2Cellos' Thunderstruck really sounds this bad in MP3 from Amazon. It's been a while since I've listen to some good lossless file and that was from a CD.

So if anyone knows a good website that sells flac or whatever lossless format of current libraries of music, please do share. Otherwise, I may have to take a trip to CD Hardware and just rip from it.

There are some sites that host high bit rate files but it depends what genres or music you are looking for because there isn't quite a one stop shop for digital music files like itunes or amazon sadly.  However normally you're going to be paying more of a premium over the $1 downloads per song that those 2 services charge.  Honestly if you're going to buy whole albums you're going to save a bit of money just buying CD's over purchasing them digitally.

That seems to be the case indeed.

You could try HDTracks. They give you a free sampler.

No idea about their catalog but I bought an Electro Deluxe album from Qobuz. They offered "from the desk" 24-bit flac,
