Where to buy a pc in the UK?

Hi everyone, I have been following the channel for a bit but now I would like to ask a question.

I see you recommending all sorts of stores and products but a lot of it is not translatable to the UK.

If I wanted to buy a customized PC with a configurator and so on in the UK where would you recommend ?

Is everyone in the country buying dells or buying the parts and building it themselves ?

Thanks

You should build the PC yourself. You will get a better price/performance.

Search engines can be your friend in matters like this

Yes I am buying parts and building. Not buying a prebuilt desktop again. I am in Ireland so I get my parts from the UK.

I only use websites as stores will rob you for every penny you have got, I have seen graphics card for sale at 2 times the online price. The websites I mainly use are scan.co.uk and amazon.co.uk. Amazon is surprisingly competitive with the pricing and variety of components also most postage is free. I have also used ebuyer and eclipse computers and nothing bad to report from them.

+1 for scan.co.uk

Overclockers UK can be good as well but amazon is sometimes cheaper

Scan and overclockUK are terrible. Aria is pretty good when it comes to returns but I mostly buy from amazon due to returns and faulty issues get resolved a lot quicker.

Scan is the best retailer ive used. They have a store in Bolton near the football stadium in Horwich. They sell prebuilt if you dont want to build your own, and also components if you know exactly what you want.

They also have a royal warrant.

Could you please elaborate about your experience with Scan? I use them regularly but would like to be aware of any complications you have had.

pcpartpicker has a UK section. Which has the same functionality except it is in £ and uses UK based stores.

If you want to buy pre-built machines. Chilliblast do reasonable prices, but still not as cheap as doing it yourself.
