So, since Intel betrayed us all by selling off their storage division, it’s been pretty easy to source more Optane SSDs. However, it’s getting to the point that I am unable to find any reasonable listing for the Optane 3.4TB P5800X drives.
Is there some source out there that you fine people know about to purchase these drives? I am trying to stock up on several of them for some upcoming builds and want to get them and some spares while I can.

I thought they were all out of production at this point, so I would assume as supply dries up the prices will continue to be unreasonable.

Yeah, this is why I’m trying to buy them up for some future projects I have in the pipeline. And, just to have an extra on hand.
I was inquiring more if anyone had a reliable secondhand or refurb source for these drives. They’re for me and not a production environment. I guess that wasn’t clear at all in my OP. lol
I’ve been watching like a hawk for the duration of the product’s lifetime. P5800X 3.2 TB was last purchasable at a reasonable price in spring 2024. By summer, some distributors had marked them down to as low as $4.3K. Most were in the $5.3K range. The listings gradually disappeared by autumn. Even used, it’s unoptanium. I suspect the 3.2 TB SKU has always had a limited production run.
