I have a friend with an early windows and wants an upgrade to XP. Its for his work place and he only will use it for documents and photos for his new vintage car business. Is anyone aware of where I can download it? I don't want to spend much money on it... hint hint!

windows XP is about to stop getting support, i would go for windows 7 or linux at least... but if you really want XP amazon or ebay i suppose

Which also brings up the question of how old the machine is? Can it even handle Windows XP??

Vista is arguable better than XP. But seriously, think about getting a copy of 7/8
I'm unaware of his specs but they seemed so old, I had tried talking him into Linux but he really want to use that OS. This came about wile at work tonight, I will go look at this time machine later this week.
Yes I'm aware its a inferior OS but talking him into spending money on something he will only use to have a spreadsheet on and uploading/download a few photos he was not interested in it.

Isn't windows xp is already old and there are many of people now are more using window 7 in fact some of my friend in IT services or IT palvelut is already using windows 7 and 8 cause they seen it more cool rather than xp but i think you can still buy some license for windows xp.
