When I installed my Arctic Freezer II on my AM4 motherboard there is a bend. Is it expected?

Hi,

As per subject I have installed my Arctic Freezer II on my X570 Taichi, but I had to basically bend the guides.
Picture here.

Is this expected?
Again, I followed the provided instructions and removed the mobo plastic sleeves and then used the same screws to fix it.

Seems to be stable, though the bends are quire noticeable.

Have I done it wrong?

I can’t see the bend you are referring to.

Look at the support staves, those are bent.

Anyhow, I found out I installed ‘wrong’.

Apparently I should have mounted the harness as rev3, instead the included link brought me to rev2, and that’s how I ended up mounting it wrong.

I have now unmounted and remounted again according to rev3 manual and although the guides slightly bent, seems to be stable.

Have been running stress -c 32 for 12 30 minutes and counting. No slowdowns nor shutdowns.

60 minutes and counting of stress -c 32. All good.
I hope will stay so over time.
