i have mine i coin on coinotron.com and have set the payout to 1 coin also.....

When the mining round ends, then the coins mined by the pool are split out.

does that take days?, weeks?

Depends on the size of the pool, there should be a timer that tells you a rough estimate of when the round ends. This is usually calculated off the difficulty and the Pool's combined Hash rate.
