echo pipe

I tend to use

$ cat << 'EOF' > index.html

That's called heredoc, for future reference.

@thegai02 you forgot the Jetbrains stuff.

shoot I use pycharm for python but didn't think about the lesser snuff.

I tend to use Sublime for all my general text editing needs.

What about Frontpage?

 There you go. @comfreak

“Happy Editor Games! And may the odds be ever in your favor.”

I hereby declare the start of the second editor war.

Really? You couldn't bother to type "for Web Development" in the title? The title and your post have two different meanings.

Shweet. I use pycharm for my python stuff, don't really do web dev anymore, but when I did, I used idea (since I had bought it for android stuff and it supports node, angular and react).

My preference for CLI only is definitely vim.

yep deal with it droid.

That reminds me of this..

And I will add Randall's opinion here too

Sublime for the web developer side of my job and vim for the sys admin part of my job

Vim wins, every time lol

Periodic reminder that 50% of developers have less than 5 years of experience so it’s not wise to just follow the crowd.

VS Code and Vim

Visual Studio Code
