Mint is no better than Ubuntu. DSL is nice, though.
Haha, indeed, Mint is worse than Ubuntu, since by default kernel updates are disabled, it's an accident waiting to happen. Also what a lot of Mint and other Ubuntu derivatives don't know, is that the support for 13.04 ends now, so that is an extra accident waiting to happen. Mint on Debian is acceptable though, although it's not as elaborate as Mint. Another thing is that Cinnamon is a heavy mother, it's heavier than KDE. What I really loved was that Gentoo got Cinnamon 2.0 stable before Mint did, that was cool. It was even fully rolled out in Sabayon before it was rolled out in Mint, and it was stable, whereas it still needed work on Mint.

Was using Ubuntu for a couple of weeks, liked it, tried fedora today and it looks badass. For some reason it reminds me of an android tablet interface and I couldn't find the power off button. Still learning it.
