What's up with Private Internet Access VPN?

I have noticed some very strange behavior on PIA. My network meter gadget suddenly shows huge upload traffic at 30MB/s. Something that my connection isn't even capable of. I went to the resource monitor and found out that it was PIA program that was sending all that data. Within few minutes it uploaded couple of GBs to god knows where. But i have no idea why. When i disconnect the client the uploading stops.

Can someone explain this?

At other times it consumes large amount of CPU resources while it doesn't seem to be doing anything. This is bothering me.

You could just use the standard openVPN client with the PIA config, then you don't have to use their client software.

Yes that another option. I have updated the client software so now hopefully that weird behavior will go away.
