It's a simple question. After several weeks of half assed research and shitty google search results, I have come to the conclusion that the only way to get a decent looking, small case for an ATX motherboard is to mount the internals on a sheet of metal and hang it on a wall (Something i did for a previous build).
Right now i'm doing just fine with a (horribly) cannibalized NZXT Phantom 410, but I really just want something I can throw my system in that is as small as it can be, but still good.
I'll simply list off what I would like in a small ATX case:
-Motherboard support, obviously
-Long GPU support
-'nice' looks (if it doesn't look like a $20 block of plastic, or isnt stupidly over the top, I'd say it looks nice to me
-Preferably metal based (I wont complain about a bit of plastic here and there. It's a case, Not a car)
I'n not desperate for a new Case, though I wouldn't mind getting something a little smaller than my stripped down, cardboard covered/filled Phantom 410.
Thank you to anyone who makes a suggestion or offers assistance!
Probably the corsair 250D, Cooler Master Elite 130 or the Fractal Design Node 304 but they are mini ITX though, but that's no problem if you're using one GPU.
Well if you want the Raven Case you are going to need to buy one of the SFX PSUs and a M-ITX motherboard or a Micro ATX motherboard that is shorter than the Standard Micro ATX motherboard. Usually the motherboards with only 2 RAM slots.
As i said in my original post, I just want something smaller than most average Mid towers. I really don't want to change my Motherboard, at all. I only got a new one a month or two ago, and it's leaps and bounds beyond anything i could get in an ITX or M-ATX form factor under $200
There is also the Bitfenix Pandora case that is very small for what it is (when it becomes available). It holds up to a Micro ATX motherboard and a full sized ATX PSU. If you need a motherboard I recommend the AsRock H81M-HDS LINK
Very good motherboard that had a Xeon E3-1231V3 for my friends build. It is flashed with the latest bios to support Haswell Refresh as well.
