Whats the best hdd to have a raid 0 configuration with

I want to set up a better raid 0 configuration with 2 hdd's i dont care about the size of the drives as lone as i have 2 hdds with 500gb or more

My friend has had his samsung f3's just die on him for the 2rd time. He went and got 2 wd caviar black what seem to be fine and it helps alot that they have a 5 year warrenty but i want to have a fast raid 0 with a good life span or good warrenty. I live in the uk soo it would have to be able to buy from a uk site

Thanks for read and i hope you have good feedback :)

P.s the raid will be used for the frist 40% with be for games e.g. steam and the last 60% will be used for programs  and when i record anthing it will go straght to that drive

well, since you want speed (raid 0) i would recommend two 500 gig hdd's as fast as you can get them.

WD black's are good drives... i have always gone with them. but if you want something a bit faster, i would go with a WD velocirapter (10k rpm drive) or a seagate baracuda (15k rpm drive)
