Whats going on with this?

Well, I just tried modding some stuff in the bios to see what kind of results I'd get for my first attempt.. And I'm a little confused, so maybe someone can help me here...

First off, my cpu. I know the voltage is really high. My next step is to gradually decrease that.. My questions is, after setting this stuff, windows didn't boot, and the bios said it reset stuff, or whatever (bios error yadda yadda yadda) but CPU-Z is still showing this, so is that my current clock rate?..

Secondly, my ram. This is confusing as well.

Okay, so originally I set it to a 2133 multiplier, and then I put the cas to 7 and changed the multiplier to a 1600 setting, so is that right? Because according to that, my cas is 7 and my ram speed is 2133. Doesn't seem right.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Says your dram speed is 1600...

Okay, yeah. Someone just explained how that works. I was looking at the NB frequency without even realizing it.

This is what I'm at right now -

It's pretty good I guess, but I feel like the voltage is still a little high. Tried to decrease it more and windows didn't want to boot, so maybe I shoud shoot for 4.5 I want the temps just a tad lower.

What temps you getting with that oc?

Idle at 32c with my water cooling which isn't quite finished.

That's not bad at all.  I'd be happy at that  :P

Okay, now I have it at 4.7 with a core voltage of 1.368. idle temp is 28c. I think I'm satisfied with that.

Have you primed that for stability? That's a pretty good increase!

Nope, I haven't. I don't really stress test with prime as I find it unneccessary. I use my every day CPU intensive applications (vegas, games) for stress testing because it's more of a real world application. I'm going to test it tomorrow. I'm going to bed now as I'm quite tired.

that speed temp is wrong there is no way its 28c with that overclock.

Use speed fan to see what it actualy is http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php

It is under water...  Don't see what is impossible about it...?

Nah, it's the right temp, haha. The waterblock feels abou that temperature. it's a selfmade block. pretty beefy.

AMD chips dont give correct readings to hardware monitor

See the difernce? the cpu package dosent give corect readings

See the difernce from the cpu package reading and the real cpu temp?

It also depends on your motherboard. I know for a fact that this is the right temperature because I can literally put my hand on the block and it is not hot. It does actually feel right around 28, which is my idle temp.

Works the same way on my asus mobo

selfmade water block? would you have a pic to post for us?

Youre missing the point, cooper. I know the temps are right because i have ways of monitoring them and confirming them without the use of software. Aka, I can PHYSICALLY feel my waterblock.

And yeah, i have a thread on here about my watercooling. Should be in the cpu section. Ill post a picture of the block in this section later, though.
